New Parent Groups

Led by an experienced early childhood expert, these groups are intimate and supportive weekly sessions. This is an opportunity to bring your baby and meet other parents and be part of a community which will nourish and support you and your newborn. With deep expertise in a range of post partum issues our social workers provide a unique and therapeutic experience for all those participating.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING A GROUP
Women share experiences with each other and seek advice and guidance from the group leader. Each week, mothers bring their current concerns and the leader extracts themes to connect the women in the discussion.

Family Consultation (parent coaching and side by side model)

Parent Coaching
Family consultations is available on a wide range of topics such as sleep, tantrums and other developmental issues. Family consultations consist in 2 to 6 meetings between an individual family with a child up to the age of 10 and one or two professionals. These meetings are particularly useful when parents have a specific question or concern about their child’s development or behavior.

Side by Side
This is a model that allows children to safely play and explore while their parents have a discussion with our professionals. The children are free to go to their parent whenever they wish. In this way, we can observe and reflect upon parent-child interactions, children’s early attempt to socialize and on each child’s temperament.
